The Advanced Fertility &
Reproductive Endocrinology Institute
The Institute was established in 2002 to
expand patient access to advanced reproductive technology and to serve as an
educational resource for local health care providers and reproductive
scientists.
Located in greater Columbia, South
Carolina, the privately owned Advanced Fertility Institute is housed in a 5400
sq. ft. facility equipped with a state of the art clean air room laboratory
specifically designed for IVF, extended embryo culture, and other assisted
reproduction procedures. Additionally, there is an on-site, full service,

psychological counseling are also available.
The Institute is designed for your
personal needs. We understand that you may be anxious and experiencing a wide
range of emotions during your treatment, so we take great care to make sure
youre at ease here, with the privacy and comfortable environment you

More about your infertility
specialist...
The Joy of Reproductive Medicine
I spent many years in private
practice as an Ob/Gyn. At one point I was delivering more than 300 babies each
year! Those experiences helped me realize that the miracle of pregnancy and
childbirth is what life is all about. So the heartache of couples unable to
conceive was all the more difficult to witness.
I found that I could make the greatest
impact as a physician by helping those people who wanted children but
couldnt have them. Giving those patients the most advanced, complete care
possible required a highly specialized education. I worked hard to gain my
expertise in reproductive medicine, and Ive been dedicated to infertile
women and couples ever since.
I celebrate every success we achieve
here at the Institute. We have so much good news around here; every day is
touched by miracles. For me, there is no more fulfilling, worthwhile way to use
my 25-plus years of experience in womens and reproductive health. I
cant wait to help you make your dream of a family come true. It is truly
my privilege and great reward.
Personal Care When You Need it
Most
The Institute is your home for the
advanced solutions that can help you have the baby you want, but its so
much more than that. You see, Ive always wanted to create a place where
women and couples could benefit from the latest in reproductive medicine while
also getting the supportive, attentive and deeply personalized care that I
believe in. Offering this exact experience to you today is the realization of a
long-held dream for me.
As the founder of the Institute, I
have assembled a special team of individuals Im proud to work with. Not
only do they have the top-notch credentials you and your doctor can feel good
about, but they are also naturally caring, wonderful people who are passionate
about what they do. I know youll appreciate them and their commitment to
your excellent care and your results.
Dr. Whitman-Elia is also a published
author of more than 50 scientific abstracts, journal articles and book chapters
